Happiness All Around
Although our class blog project has expired, when I came across
this image, I could not help but feel inspired by the raw happiness written on
every one of these girls’ faces. The picture was taken by an organization
called Girl Hub that gives a platform to teenage girls around the world to
define and create a shared identity in their respective communities. The girls
above are Rwandan. As I observed their complexions, all I could think was how beautiful each and every one of them is.
And I could only imagine the inner beauty that lied within them. More
importantly, however, the air of happiness that they radiate in the picture
seeped right through to me; I was touched. Girl Hub’s initiative to promote female
beauty, identity, and independence is quite remarkable and what I love the most
is how this organization is working to make girls around the world simply
happy. Now there’s a happiness project for ya! :)

In the tiny second it took to snap the shot, they seem to have it all together, that they are completely satisfied and that they are just happy to be there together! It truly is inspiring! Excellent job, MAPL!
P.S: That signature makes me think of Maple Syrup!
